The role of the Home Care Manager is to efficiently manage the care service provided to our Service Users. It will include training new members of the team to ensure the service they provide meets CQC regulations and is bespoke to each of our Service Users. You should be a people-person and have great attitude when it comes to developing staff and meeting business expectations. You will work closely with the founder and Registered Manager to expand and grow the business, whilst ensuring compliance throughout. • Lead a team of care assistants with responsibility for training new staff.
• Supervise colleagues and lead team meetings.
• Provide guidance and support to all care team.
• Work in co-operation with multidisciplinary teams
• Lead support planning and work closely with the registered manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.
• Participate in care planning, assessments, and reviews.
• Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
• Ensure adherence to CQC regulations and company policies.
• Ensuring residents receive the highest possible quality of care and support, monitoring general health and reporting any concerns.
• Completing and maintaining accurate care records.
• Administering prescribed medicines according to care plan.
• Planning rotas and supervision of a team.
• To prepare duty rosters.
• To be "on-call" for emergencies arising within the service.
• To participate in the development of activities for service users.
• To assist in conducting interviews for new staff and to follow up for references.
• To ensure that all duties undertaken by staff are performed to the required standards.
• To assist in ensuring that adequate staff cover is maintained for all shifts so that service users are kept safe and their health and welfare needs are met.
• To instruct new staff on matters regarding health and safety, fire precaution and prevention.
• To attend staff meetings where appropriate.
• Any other duties advised by the registered manager within your competency.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or a commitment to complete training)
Proven experience in care industry
People management and customer service experience
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)
Positive attitude to work
Computer literate for documentation and reporting
Full UK driving license (preferred)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Familiarity with care plans and risk assessment
Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
