The role of the Home Care Worker is to provide exceptional personal care services to our trusted service users, in the comfort of their own home. Job Overview

Previous care experience is essential, however, the key things you need to excel in this role are empathy and a passion for caring, flexibility and a strong sense of responsibility. Full training is provided. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in their care. Our roles can be flexible around your lifestyle, either full or part time and with a variety of shift patterns including weekdays and weekends.

Duties may include

Assisting with personal care
General light domestic duties
Assisting with the cooking of light meals, preparing snacks and the provision of beverages
Carrying out tasks as specified in the service users individual service/care plan
Transporting service users to local amenities and to medical appointments.
Contributing to accurate and detailed record keeping whilst maintaining the service.
Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Ensure adherence to CQC regulations and company policies.
Ensuring residents receive the highest possible quality of care and support, monitoring general health and reporting any concerns.
Completing and maintaining accurate care records.
Administering prescribed medicines according to care plan.

Desirable Qualification & Skills

Proven experience in home care setting or similar environments is preferred
Care Certification
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or a commitment to complete training)
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)
Computer literate for documentation and reporting
Full UK driving license (preferred)
Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
Familiarity with care plans and home care practices is beneficial
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
